The OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon is a premier half-marathon in Indianapolis featuring a legendary lap around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the famous Yard of Bricks.
Course Highlights
The OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, now officially known as the IU Health 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, features a legendary 13.1-mile course that is widely considered “The Greatest Spectacle in Running.” The flat and fast route begins in the heart of downtown Indianapolis on Washington Street. The absolute highlight of the race occurs between miles 6 and 9, where participants enter the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Runners have the unique opportunity to complete a full 2.5-mile lap around the iconic oval track, including the tradition of kneeling to kiss the “Yard of Bricks” at the start/finish line. Along the way, participants pass through the historic town of Speedway and are cheered on by nearly 50 course entertainment acts, including live bands, dance squads, and spirited volunteers. The course concludes with a scenic finish near Military Park, where the post-race celebration begins.
