Part of a national series that dates back to 1986\, this is the original festive charity 5K — and San Diego’s edition brings that same spirit of celebration\, community\, and purpose to the shores of San Diego Bay. \nThe Course\nThe 5K takes place entirely within Liberty Station Park\, the beautifully redeveloped historic Naval Training Center campus in Point Loma. The flat road course winds along the park’s paths through one of San Diego’s most architecturally rich waterfront neighborhoods. With the Spanish Colonial Revival buildings of the NTC campus around you and the cool December air off San Diego Bay\, it’s one of the most atmospheric holiday run settings in the city. Check-in opens at 7:00 AM for an 8:00 AM start. \nRace Day Experience\nCostumes and jingle bell attire are strongly encouraged — this is a race where showing up in full elf gear is not only acceptable but celebrated.
