The Lancaster County Course<\/h3>\n

The course rolls past working Amish farms, one-room schoolhouses, white-fenced pastures, and red barns. Don’t be surprised to share the road shoulder with a horse-and-buggy or to see Amish children waving from front porches as you run by. Aid stations are staffed by local volunteer firefighters and community members, and live bluegrass and Mennonite a cappella groups perform along the course. It’s quiet, peaceful, and rolls more than you’d expect \u2014 but the views and atmosphere make every mile worth it.<\/p>\n

Pre-Race Pasta Dinner & Finisher’s Breakfast<\/h3>\n

Bird-in-Hand is famous for its food. The night before the race, runners are invited to an authentic Amish-style pasta dinner at the host farm \u2014 homemade noodles, freshly baked bread, garden vegetables, and shoo-fly pie.
